About our special releases
Some of these are one off brews, others seasonal and others just brewed when the fancy takes us. Each ale has a reason, whether its to highlight the best of a style or to play with our creative expression to craft something new and delicious.
Pompelmocello is a tart, sour and puckering grapefruit IPA brewed with Grapefruit Juice, Grapefruit Zest, the most grapefruity hop profile we can muster and lactose for a slightly creamy mouthfeel and sweet edge. Just like its predecessor, Limoncello IPA, expect Pompelmocello to have plenty of shock factor.
Championed by Felix in the brewhouse, Orange Boom has been at various events throughout the year in pilot batches. We eventually made room in the schedule for a full batch in November. This beer is the base of Calypso but with plenty of fresh orange zest and juice that really gives it a punch.
According to old English folklore, growing blackberries near your home would ensure that a Vampire couldn’t enter. So the tale goes, they would obsessively count the berries and forget what they were there for, or never finish counting! This dark IPA is packed full of fresh blackberries and blackberry puree, so it could offer you some spiritual protection as well as being the tasty first beer from our new Head Brewer Markus.
Baby Wheel is an almost all-English hopped IPA* brewed by a Bostonian. All English hops in a Siren beer you ask? Well this is something we ain’t ever seen before. Bonus points to anyone who knows where ‘Baby Wheel’ gets its name!
*One of our brewers couldn’t resist a sneaky sprinkling of American hops too.
Caribbean Chocolate Cake
The return of an outrageous collaboration with Cigar City, this is a dense, rich and luxurious stout. Hand-roasted cacao nibs from the USA give hints of tamarind and soft lemon. The malt provides coffee and roast notes in abundance, while the experimental OCC hop variety offers orange, chocolate and coconut flavours. Ageing on Cypress Wood is the icing on the cake. Pure bottled indulgence.
The first ever lager brewed at Siren. Honer was an experimental while pils brewed by Gordon. A clean, crisp and slightly citrus finish on a delicate pale malt base.
Love of Work
On a recent trip to the US, Ryan popped over to Vermont to visit Hill Farmstead and brew a hoppy blonde ale with a gentle kiss of tea; Works of Love. This is our interpretation of that very beer; Love of Work. Brewed with Earl Grey tea then dry-hopped with Amarillo, Citra and Centennial.
Blue Sky Blue Sea
We drew Surly Brewing in the 2015 International Rainbow Project with the colour assigned to us being blue. In the spirit of the transatlantic collaboration we linked the two breweries by sea and sky; our British Isles surrounded by water and Minnesota admired for its skyscapes. Seaweed provided the ocean air and salty Gose depth while Cloudberries represented the skies above.
Coffee with Tea or Yuanyang is a popular beverage most commonly drunk in Hong Kong, which is a blend of Coffee with Chinese style Milk Tea. An Ethiopian equivalent is known as Spreeze, from which this collaboration with Evil Twin took its name. Summer Spreeze was a 3.8% Pale Ale with infused Coffee and Jasmine Green Tea.
Based out in Ohio, Jackie O’s are famed for their work with Dark Ales. Quadrophenia uses a varied malt base pitching it somewhere between a Strong Porter and a Belgian Quad. Belgian Candi Sugar and High Gravity Trappist Yeast form a delicious deep, rich dark and fruity ale.
What’s a Braggot you ask? It’s a beer brewed with both honey and malt. A beer / mead hybrid if you will. When we met Brad from B. Nektar Meadery at Copenhagen Beer Celebration in 2014 and tasted his meads we knew we had to get him over to brew with us. The result is an absolute zest fest.
Mum’s The Word
A Smoked Cherry and Chipotle Milk Porter. We’re always looking for ways to collaborate with top artisan producers near and far, an ethos we have in common with Arizona Wilderness. The malt for this milk porter has been hand-smoked with Maple Wood by Resident of Paradise Row, made possible by our friends at Mother Kelly’s Tap Room in London. The Montmorency Cherries were sourced from world-renowned King Orchards in Northern Michigan.
All Bretts Are Off
Our “English Bitter” collaboration with Crooked Stave has a traditional malt base with high notes of English Challenger and Fuggle hops, but fermentation with twelve different strains of Brettanomyces quickly makes it something far from ordinary. Now All Bretts Are Off.
Dippy and the Equinox
This is an Imperial IPA brewed in collaboration with Tony from Boneyard Beer, who dropped by the brewery in March when en route to Estonia to do some surfing. In naming this beast of a collaboration we decided to honour the timely exit of Dippy the Diplodocus from the Natural History Museum in London, so ‘Dippy and the Equinox’ was born.
Dinner for Four
This is the latest in our ‘Dinner for…’ series brewed in collaboration with Elusive Brewing. Dinner for Four is a hoppy Vienna Pale Ale with Simcoe, Cluster and Centennial as its hops of choice.
Life is a Peach
Life is a Peach is a Peach Cream IPA brewed in collaboration with Omnipollo and Swedish homebrew champion Niklas Johansson.
To celebrate our 200th brew we took our award winning Liquid Mistress and gave her a booster shot in the arm. Boasting an increased 8.2% ABV, hefty malt base and a scary looking hop bill that includes copious amounts of Amarillo, Centennial, Simcoe and Mosaic, this Imperial Red IPA will steal your heart and rip it to shreds.
Blended with white wine barrel-aged Calypso, white wine barrel-aged Sound Wave and Funky Feet, our 100% brett barrel fermented wild ale is an anything but ordinary Saison.
This is a truly different beer. The concept was to develop the flavour and mouthfeel of Limoncello and fuse with the carbonation and lemony hop hit of an IPA. Using pale and wheat malts, the base beer goes through a 24 hour sour process to add to the tartness of the beer. Tons of lemon zest and juice are added to the boil along with all the citrusy lemony hops available
Even More Jesus VIII
Even More Jesus VIII, a collaboration between Siren Craft Brew and Evil Twin is an indulgent decadent Imperial Stout. Brewed with heaps of muscovado sugar and English liquorice root.
Rule of Thirds
Take the flagship IPA recipe for Siren, Magic Rock & Beavertown, fuse together each recipe and process step.
Our Rainbow colour for 2014 was Violet and we were paired with De Molen. This of course meant it had to be a stout, so Purple is the colour of Royalty and pepper used to be the spice of Kings, so what better way than to brew a Russian Imperial Stout, boiled for over 5 hours with a healthy dose of cracked pepper
10 Toe Discount
A collaboration with ToOl, IIPA with huge amounts of Amarillo and aged on Cedar.
10 Finger Discount
A collaboration with ToOl, IIPA with huge amounts of Citra and aged on Cedar.
Middle Finger Discount
A collaboration with ToOl, IIPA with huge amounts of Mosaic and aged on Cedar.
The Tickle Monster
This monster of a beer is a collaboration with ToOl as part of our Digit Series. We took all the hops for each of the single brews, added mango pulp, aged over Cedar, and amped up the ABV to a powerful 12%. She Tickles, and she is a monster.
Another collaborations with Stillwater Artisinal Ales where we wanted to add our own ideas to the old style Lichtenhainer. This sour smoked wheat beer has been fermented with Brett.
When The Light Gose Out
In collaboration with Stillwater Artisinal Ales, we wanted to approach a classic german brew sour beer with salt and add our own artistic flair. This beer is a black beer with no roasty notes extra sourness and fruity notes from hibiscus and pulled together with a Brett fermentation.
The Big Inflatable Cowboy Hat
Brewed with Pizza Port beer, this is a 10.5% hop monster of an IPA using almost every US hop we had in our inventory. The result was a highly drinkable balanced beer with a tropical fruits on the nose and the finish
Sweet Dream takes a rich and complex malt background with added lactose for a base and then adds tons of cocoa nibs and vanilla beans to accentuate the chocolate notes from the malt. The result is a full bodied, complex 5.3% stout bursting with chocolate and vanilla
