THE INTERNATIONAL RAINBOW PROJECT 2018: A CELEBRATION OF COLLABORATIVE AND INNOVATIVE BREWING
The International Rainbow Project pairs seven of the best breweries in the United Kingdom with seven of the best breweries from a chosen country or region each year. Each pairing is randomly drawn a colour of the rainbow which is used to inspire a collaborative brew.
On Tuesday 6th December 2016 we gathered at Partizan Brewery to make the official announcements of the 2017 region, breweries, pairings and colours, which we streamed through Facebook Live and live-Tweeted as it happened.
There was a slight twist on the usual plans, as we drew 2 colours out for each pairing. The idea for this was that the second colour will be inspiring a barrel aged or wild fermented beer designed to be ready for release around the time of the International Rainbow Project 2018. Here’s how it went down:
As you can see, we’ve got some of the biggest and best names in US brewing involved and it’s thrown up some amazing pairings! Here’s how we’re launching the 2018 brews…

All seven will be on tap, along with an amazing beer list curated from some of the breweries involved, along with a showcase of our own creations.
Ticket holders will also have the first opportunity to pick up the last ever Rainbow Project mixed case, which includes all seven barrel aged beauties to take home. As usual – we’ll have some awesome street food to keep you fed, plus a few surprises for the day.
Please note that we are making this a ticket-only event. For £13.00 you will receive a souvenir glass for the day and drinks tokens to the value of £10.00. Transport will be provided to and from Wokingham Train Station.
You can reach Wokingham direct from London Waterloo in approximately 60 minutes. You can also get to Wokingham from Reading Station direct in around 10 minutes, Reading offers links all over the country.
