The George & Dragon is a our country pub, known for its exceptional food and of course, great line up of beers.
Situated in the beautiful Berkshire countryside, it has a traditional, relaxed atmosphere with warm tones, open fires, original brickwork and exposed beams. The pub has a vibrant local community but is also popular with visitors from further afield, as it makes for a lovely day out into the peaceful countryside while being easy to reach.

Yes! We’re family-friendly and have a children’s menu. Please note that when indoors, dogs are only allowed in the bar area.

Are there any countryside walks in the area?
Yes, the George & Dragon is situated in a perfect countryside location for walking. Check out our recommended route here or alternatively consider the Blackwater Valley Path.
Are Siren beers on tap?
They are indeed! We have a number of Siren beers on keg, cask and in cans and bottles.
Our cask lines are rotational, with guest beers often available.
Do you do Sunday lunches?
Yes! We have worked hard to produce one of the best Sunday lunches in the area! Our roasts are served with Garlic & Herb Roasted Potatoes, Yorkshire Puddings, Cauliflower Cheese and Seasonal Vegetables.
Is there parking available?
We have a car park on site.
Can I walk to the Siren brewery?
Depends on how good a walker you are! It is a 3 mile walk and takes about an hour... but whichever way you go, there's a beautiful cold beer waiting for you!
Do you show sport?
Yes we do! Our back bar is fitted with a large TV in which we show sport on terrestrial TV. Please note that we do not have Sky Sports, TNT Sports or any other paid-for service.
