Don't worry, despite the ominous number, we're feeling very lucky about this one. On the 28th March, we'll be celebrating our birthday with a sold out brewery party. It's shaping up to be a fantastic event, and marks the first time we've hosted the party inside the Brewery itself since 2017.
You know the drill, where there's a birthday party there has to be cake - or in this case, celebratory special beer releases. Mum's the word for now relating to what these might look like, but we can promise you a total of five beers to mark the occasion, including the return of our Maiden '25 Barrel Aged Barley Wine.
The theme, as to be expected, is centered around superstitions. Perhaps that will give you a clue on guessing the beer names while you wait? Make sure you're signed up to hear from us through our mailing list emails, as we'll be announcing the beers very soon...
SIREN TAP YARD
Big things are on the horizon for our brewery Tap Yard, and we can't wait to reveal more soon. Right now, sights are set on the upcoming Barnes Fitness 10k race on the 15th March - it's not too late to enter in! The multi-terrain route starts and finishes at the Tap Yard, with a free beer AND glass for every finishers.
THE GEORGE & DRAGON COUNTRY PUB
In case you missed it, we're pleased to share the news that the Swallowfield bridge has now re-opened. This historic bridge acts as one of the village's main access routes, and was recently heavily damaged by a careless driver (you may have seen that on the news), so to have it back in action so soon is a massive success. Why not celebrate with a glass of wine or two from the brand-new Wine List, curated by local supplier Milton Sandford Wines?
SIREN RG1
The guys over at our flagship Reading bar have been keeping busy during the Six Nations tournament, and have come out the other end with a spectacular new drinks menu - with imaginative new cocktails and fizz options. They also recently saw an updated and refined food menu, which features the absolutely best of what you've come to expect from feasting at RG1.

At the end of January, Brewer Hayley and Lab Manager Emily organised a brew day with the aid of Crafty Beer Girls to mash in on an exciting new beer - a dark fruited gruit to celebrate International Women's Day on the 8th March. Coven has been an immediate hit, and harkens back to a brewing method from medieval times, popularised by the Alewives of old.
If you’ve never come across this style of beer before, we don't blame you! Click here to read our recent blog all about the style, and it's history.
We're delighted to welcome on board a new member of our marketing team, who will be handling our social media and content going forward. Laura is no stranger to Siren, having enjoyed pints at our RG1 bar in the past, and she's already been working hard on beer and event photography over the past couple of weeks. Welcome to Siren!
Speaking of our Reading bar, Lucy will be leaving us as general manager as she goes on to great new things with a role in the police force - a life-long passion. We're wishing her the very best of luck, and look forward to seeing her (off-duty) for a pint or two in the future.
One of our top priorities upon switching to our new website in the summer of 2025 was to introduce a way to reward loyal purchasers through our webshop. If you've not yet done so, you can click here to sign up to our rewards program, which offers discounts when you shop regularly with us.
It's free to join, and you'll even receive 50 points right away when you make your first purchase after signing up!
"As we approach 13 years as an operating brewery, we’re truly grateful to still be able to do it.”
As the week draws to a close, we're reflecting on uncertain times in an industry that we love being a part of - and we're feeling incredible grateful to be here.
For all the rights and wrongs, the news of BrewDog's pre-pack administration deal this week and the closing of 38 bars and job losses for 484 people (as reported by Financial Times) feels like a significant blow in our world, and our sympathies are with everyone affected.
We wouldn't be where we are today without the support offered from BrewDog bars, who gave us a platform in our early years. The bar teams were always passionate, dedicated and given a great grounding of beer knowledge, as evidenced in many CollabFest brewdays over the years.
As we approach 13 years as an operating brewery, we’re truly grateful to still be able to do it. For anyone previously working in BrewDog bars: please note that we have vacancies at various levels across Siren RG1 and Siren Tap Yard right now. You can click here to view these, if you're interested.
And as a gesture on our part for all Equity Punks who have provided great support of this industry, you can click here to get an immediate 13% webshop discount - and if you're local to us, enjoy a free pint of flagship beer in our Siren RG1 bar when you show proof of investment up until the 13th March.
We’re thrilled to announce that we’ve taken home gold at the Indie Beer Awards for our popular low-alcohol edition of flagship IPA, Soundwave. Released just last year, Soundwave 0.5 has become a champion in the ‘Keg No & Low’ category in the South East, and will now go up against the best of independent low alcohol brewing in the UK.
This beer has been consistently popular online, in bars, bottle shops and at events. It took us a little while to bring it into the range, simply because we value Soundwave so highly - it wouldn't have been right to put this name on a low-alc version that didn't live up to the reputation! We put a lot of development time into this beer, and it’s so good to see that the time and energy put in has paid off.

Don't worry, we won't go full spoiler-alert here, but we'd love to share some exciting events and releases coming up soon.
The Pilot is coming back! In January we released, and quickly sold out of, a brand-new 5% hazy pale ale that quickly captivated audiences. It was so good, that this limited beer has been greenlit for a full batch. The even better news? This new batch will be Gluten Free with absolutely no compromises on flavour. We'll drink to that.
For fans of our flagship IPA, Soundwave, we'll be packing a brand-new special edition, ready to release at the beginning of April. Soundwave Continuum will be a must-try for fans of Superdelic Soundwave and Soundwave Nectaron (or any Soundwave variant for that matter!)
