We started Fornoza with a borrowed gazebo and second-hand tables. We now have a permanent kitchen inside Siren Craft Brew's taproom and a mobile unit doing markets and events across the south. We've built it properly: long fermentation, good ingredients, no shortcuts. We need someone to join the kitchen at Siren and help us keep growing.
The role
You'll be working shifts in the kitchen at Siren, taking on real responsibility during service and working directly alongside the founders. It's a small operation and we all get stuck in together. We're not precious about hierarchy but we do care deeply about the food.
We're not looking for someone who thinks they know it all. We want someone with solid pizza experience, a good attitude, and a genuine interest in doing things properly. There's a lot to learn here and that's part of the point.
Day to day
⢠Running shifts and keeping quality high at the pass
⢠Prep work: dough, toppings, sauces
⢠Keeping the kitchen clean, organised, and food safe throughout service
⢠Stock, deliveries, waste
⢠Working with us on how the food develops over time
What we're looking for
⢠At least 1 year of kitchen experience, this is a must
⢠A good attitude and someone who's genuinely happy to learn
⢠Reliable, punctual, works well under pressure
⢠Takes food safety seriously: HACCP, allergens, temperature logs
⢠You'll need your own transport. Public transport to Siren is limited.
What you get
⢠£13.00 to £16.00/hr depending on experience, plus tips split fairly across the team. In practice tips add another £2 to £5 per hour on top.
⢠Staff food every shift
⢠The chance to develop your skills and grow with the business
⢠A good place to work, inside one of Berkshire's best craft beer taprooms
If you care about pizza and want to work somewhere that does too, get in touch.
