We are on the lookout for an experienced Warehouse Operative to keep our beer heading out to the right places in the best possible condition. You'll be joining our small and committed warehouse team to play your part in sorting, picking, packing and shipping our beer to our trade and direct to retail customers.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Opening up for the day
- Dispatching our fleet of vans for trade deliveries
- Receipt and storage of newly packed stock in our cold store
- Efficient and accurate picking of orders
- Assembling large pallet shipments for UK distribution and exports
- Accurate loading and efficient dispatching of goods
- FIFO stock rotation and management
- Be proactive and contribute to continuously improving warehouse processes and - procedures.
- Maintaining a safe and tidy working environment at all timesSKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Counterbalance forklift and electric pallet truck experience/license (essential)
- Physically capable of lifting heavy goods

ROLE OVERVIEW
We are looking for a Junior Brewer to join our Production Team here at Siren Craft Brew.
Our production team has a diverse range of experience and interests, allowing us to create innovative and adventurous beers. We employ a continuous improvement culture and have a work environment where we are proud of what we do and how we do it. We are looking for an individual who is ready to learn new skills, cares about the details, and brings energy & enthusiasm to the job.
The role we are recruiting for will initially focus on running the brewhouse, producing the wort for our award-winning beers.
The role will require you to be physically fit due to nature of the work.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
· Picking ingredients as per the given brew recipe (this will require repeated lifting of 25kg bags).
· Milling in the malt bill.
· Mashing.
· Boiling the wort and adding ingredients to the wort kettle and the whirlpool vessel.
· Transferring wort from the brewhouse to the cellar.
· Pitching yeast to fermentation vessels.
· Basic lab work to measure wort specifications.
· Cleaning of the brewhouse plant and equipment.
· General housekeeping in the brewery.
· Working to food hygiene standards set by the brewery.
· Following Standard Operating Procedures once trained.** Full training will be provided**
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
· Positive, energetic, can-do attitude.
· Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
· Able to learn new skills and contribute to a continuous improvement culture of working.
· Can work well in a team.
· Capable of physical work.
· Fork-lift truck certified (desirable but not essential).
· Previous experience in Food or Beverage industry (desirable but not essential).
