Sheltered Spirit - 14% Bourbon Barrel Aged Imperial Porter with Tamarind We brewed this beer in 2016 with the sole intention of ageing it in bourbon barrels. The inspiration was all about tamarind - an ingredient revered for the sweet and sour depth it can add to dishes and drinks, particularly popular in the tropics. It didn’t disappoint - offering an amazing fruity aroma almost immediately. In folklore, tamarind trees are said to harbour ghosts, and for that reason are often found on the outskirts of villages. Afterlight - 4.5% Irish Dry StoutSheltered Spirit is predominately available in bottles, so here's one to enjoy at your local haunt. Silky smooth milk chocolate and a biscuity praline base combine in this one-off stout release - Afterlight. A touch of dark chocolate and roast finish off the experience. This is a draught only release - on nitro kegs to enhance the smooth body and on cask to accentuate the chocolate notes.
