Broken Dream Coffee Gift Sets Now Available

Broken Dream is our Core Range Breakfast Stout with a gentle touch of smoke and chocolate, plus coffee which we add fresh to the brew each time. For the first time, we're very excited to be able to offer the beer alongside the exact same coffee we use in a limited edition gift set. We'll have a limited amount of gift sets available which will include three bottles of Broken Dream, and a 227g pack of Sumatra coffee beans, the exact coffee that we hand-picked to complement the brew. The gift sets will also include an exclusive Broken Dream glass and a high-quality mug in collaboration with Tamp Culture, who supply us with the freshest coffee each time. All of this is packaged in a specially designed case. The coffee included is from the Gayo Mountains of Indonesia, Central Aceh district. It's a Grade 1 coffee with a cedar floral flavour profile, with notes of brown sugar, caramel and a touch of pepper. It offers a medium to full body with a lively acidity and an after taste of chocolate, cherry, spiciness and complexity. Some of the villages in Central Aceh were established during the 1980’s as a result of the Indonesian transmigration program. Javanese people were offered land and support by the government to relocate to the highlands in an attempt to reduce the population on the overcrowded island of Java. The new settlers were mainly corn farmers who learned about planting coffee from the local Gayonese people. Coffee in the region normally is planted with other crops, pulses, chillies, and vegetables at altitudes from 1350 to 1700 meters above seas level. Soils are from volcanic origin, rich and fertile.
