December Newsletter

There's just over a week to go before we take a break for Christmas, and this past month has gone in a flash. There's so much that we've taken away from it, and we've got some exciting updates coming soon - keep your eyes peeled on those mailing list emails.

Without further ado, let's get stuck in.

Fond Farewells

This month we've seen two members wrap up their time here with us at Siren, ready to move on to exciting new pastures. Somewhat of a hidden face of Siren, Gregg has been managing our worldwide exports and has helped us to gain and maintain relationships near and far - if you're the travelling type you may have spotted him at one of our international 10th anniversary events earlier this year. And our regional sales manager of the north, Joel, has played a crucial role in keeping the spirit of Siren alive in the midlands and further afield from the brewery, also making appearances at various festivals and events.

We wish Gregg and Joel the very best in their futures, and can't wait to catch up with them over a beer soon! This does mean that we'll have some new members of staff joining us in the new year, who you'll meet in our January newsletter.

Caribbean Chocolate Cake 2023

No December roundup is complete without one final, glowing mention of CCC. A collaboration project that has grown and grown, ever evolving as a testament to our love of dark beer and chocolate. We've been blown away by the reception to this year's iteration, after making the decision to try something new last year with C.C.C.

We introduced two new styles this year; Salted Cherry and Cupcake, and we're so pleased that you've been enjoying these flavours. We also took a slightly different spin on our famous Death By variant, leaning into the flavours of 2022's Charm, Candour and Curiosity. More cacao, more cypress, and more depth. This was one killer can for November, at a classically rich 10% ABV.

We've completely sold out of Death By C.C.C. but you can still find the last remaining stock of Nitro, Cupcake and Salted Cherry online - while stocks last.

Last Chance for Christmas Delivery

We'll be packing web orders up until the last point possible, but there's always a cut off. This year, please aim to have your orders in by mid-day on Wednesday 20th December - we unfortunately can't guarantee that orders after this will arrive in time for Christmas, with DPDs final delivery day being the 24th December.

As usual, any questions on your orders or Christmas deliveries, please send an email to siren@sirencraftbrew.com and a member of staff will get back to you as quickly as possible.

Last Chance for Double Discount

If you're not already aware, we're currently offering DOUBLE the discount on most set boxes of beer under our Mixed Case category page. This offer will expire on Sunday 17th at midnight, so don't miss out! Our usual discount on cases is 10%, and we've doubled this to a maximum of 20% allowing you to get those festive drinks in for less this Christmas.

There's no code required - just add the case to your basket and checkout to make a saving! T&Cs apply.

Waitrose Pale 4-Pack

New into Waitrose supermarkets all across the country, we're thrilled to announce our brand-new pale beer fridge packs. Each pack contains one can of each Lumina Session IPA, Soundwave Flagship IPA, Mesmerist Soft Pale Ale and Yu Lu Session Pale Ale. It's fantastic to know that we're able to make some of our core range beers even more accessible to the public, and at a great price too.

To celebrate the launch, we set up a competition to win a set of 3 of these packs, a brewery tour for two and a £50 Waitrose voucher. We're pleased to announce that the winner is Ian Ross - congratulations Ian, we've dropped you a message!

If you spot the new pack in a Waitrose near you, snap and pic and tag us on socials @sirencraftbrew. You can also now purchase a set of three of these boxes on our webshop.

Tap Yard Christmas Fayre

Were you able to make it down to our Christmas Fayre earlier in the month? We certainly weren't short of festive cheer as we saw multiple street food vendors, independent stalls, petting zoo, a range of activities (including the Great Caribbean Cake Off!) and beers both new and old down at our brewery Tap Yard. Oh, and Santa was there too - naturally.

It's an event that our bar staff look forward to each year, and we'd like to take Jon and his team on making it a memorable day out for all ages. If you didn't get the chance to drop by, there's always next year...

The Great Caribbean Cake Off

This year, we announced the first ever Great Caribbean Cake Off, which saw busy bakers crafting exquisite cakes and bakes, with one golden rule; they had to use a can of 2023 Caribbean Chocolate Cake in the mix! It was a great exercise in creativity and love of beer and food pairings, and we were honoured to have Wokingham's town mayor, Cllr Sally Gurney, down on the day to judge the competition.

Christmas at The G&D

Our country pub, The George & Dragon, is ready to welcome you in this Christmas with a festive party menu and a series of incredible new dishes. Content manager Tim took popped over recently to photograph (and taste!) the new menu.

The Christmas Party Menu will run from Friday 24th November 2023 until Saturday 23rd December, and there's still plenty of time to book in for a winter feast in our highly rustic and rural set Swallowfield pub.
