Event: Tap Takeover at The Nag's Head
Tap Takeover at The Nag's Head Monday 22nd June 2015 7.30pm 5 Russell Street, Reading, RG1 7XD It's been some time since we last visited our friends at The Nag's Head in Reading. Our upcoming Tap Takeover will be with mixed spirits as we throw our last party with Head Brewer Ryan Witter-Merithew before he returns back to the US. As you'd expect, we fully intend to see him off with a bang, so have prepared a suitably special selection of beers for the occasion. The Line-upFortuna's Gift - Our Wee Heavy has been aged in Cognac barrels for over a year, then infused with orange zest, sage, cranberry and a host of spices. Love of Work - Hoppy Blonde Ale in collaboration with Hill Farmstead. All Bretts Are Off - Our "English Bitter" brewed with 12 strains of Brettanomyces in collaboration with Crooked Stave Life is a Peach - Peaches & Cream IPA brewed with peaches & lactose in collaboration with Omnipollo, on cask for the first time. Sound Wave - Our core range West Coast style IPA. Calypso with Blackberries + Blackcurrants - Another in our experimental range of barrel aged Berliner Weisse. Hazelnut Even More Jesus VIII - Even More Jesus aged in hazelnut liquor barrels. Undercurrent - Our core range 4.5% Oatmeal Pale Ale with spicy, grassy aromas and a taste of grapefruit and apricot. Liquid Mistress - A 5.8% West Coast Red IPA in our core range: burnt raisins and crackers balanced by citrus. Half Mast - Flavour, balance and body at only 2.8%. Our Quarter IPA is heavily hopped but with low bitterness, popping with notes of mango and grapefruit to form the perfect summer beer. Edelweisse - A pilot batch Hopfenweisse. Limoncello IPA - The IPA designed to mimic Limoncello on tap at The Nag's Head for the first time.
There won't be tickets available for this event but we do expect it to be very busy on the night, so come down early and help us see Ryan off in style.
