Important Information About Our Tap Room
*** UPDATE JANUARY 2018. THIS IS A LEGACY POST. WE NOW HAVE A PURPOSE-BUILT TAP ROOM ON-SITE IN FINCHAMPSTEAD. CLICK HERE FOR DETAILS *** We've operated a brewery Tap Room in one form or another since we started up in 2013. An outlet to taste our beer as fresh as it can possibly be (and somewhere to stock our ever-changing range of bottles) is something we feel is of huge benefit, so we've done our best to keep this space for as long as possible for those who have made the trip out to Finchampstead. However, more recently the Tap Room has not been able to operate as we would like. Too often tables meant for customers are acting as work benches for our team, or bases for packaging web orders and the like. We find ourselves bottling beer every day, and with the line only a few metres away, this somewhat kills the atmosphere we'd like for weekday visitors. So it is with some regret that we've taken the decision to temporarily admit defeat and use the current space as a full-blown addition to our brewery. It will house eight new fermenters (each 60 hectolitres) to help us catch up with demand next year. The Tap Room as you know it will open for the last time on Thursday 24th December. From the 18th January onwards we will operate a brewery shop in the existing location, Unit 2, Weller Drive, Finchampstead RG40 4QZ. This means you can still call in Monday-Friday 9-5 to pick up bottles, merchandise, glassware and the like. However, we will have no draught beer, growler fills or space for private events. For January at least, the new brewery shop will not be open on Saturdays. We'll review this at the end of the month. Thanks to everyone for your continued support.
