January Tap Yard Update

As we hit the halfway point of January, who’s already given up on their resolutions? New Year is all about making changes, right? Well… here at the Siren Tap Yard we’re sticking to that and we’ve got some exciting changes to tell you about, as well as some awesome new theme days and events throughout the year. We’ve also got our ever-popular monthly quiz back for 2020 and the Street Food Weekend line-up for this year is coming together nicely.

First up is our brand new Pizza Menu, which launches on Friday 17th January. 


We introduced pizzas to the Siren Tap Yard in June last year and they’ve proved to be a popular addition to our output. However, we’re always looking to improve and so when General Manager, Max, came on board, we started looking at new menus and new processes. 

What we’ve landed on has been rigorously tested by the Siren staff (you’re welcome) and we all agree that these new pizzas are super delicious and a big improvement. 

So what’s new? 

Firstly, the base. We’ve upgraded to a 10” Semolina flour Italian base. Not only is it completely vegan friendly, it provides a much nicer and much tastier treat than previous. We also have a gluten-free option. 

Our team have also worked hard to create a whole new menu of pizza options, including the chance to customise by adding toppings. Check out the new menu at the bottom of the blog. 

We kick off with two specials, and hope to have more specials throughout the year. The first special is the Pesto-both Worlds! We use a pesto Base and top with olives, onions, feta, piquant peppers and some fresh rocket. If sweet things are more your vibe, then give our Chocolate Pizza a go! This one is a 6” base, smothered with Chocolate hazelnut spread and more chocolate. It’s legit delicious. 

Another addition is a lighter bite menu of our brand new round Paninis. They come in 3 options and are a perfect lunch time snack. Check out the menu below.


Friday 17th January is dedicated to launching the new menu, so come down and give it a try. 


Over the last year we’ve had some great theme evenings at the Tap Yard, including various food pairings and bottle shares. 

This year, we’ve already introduced “Stacks of Wax”, a day where all the music played is on vinyl. Max has a great selection to choose from, but invites you to bring your own records. For those who do, they’ll get a drink on us! Expect Stacks of Wax to be back soon! 

Next up is the battle to end all battles. It’s the headline act of wrestlemania, it’s on Sky Sports Box Office in Las Vegas. It’s Beer vs Wine vs Cheese.

We also have our monthly quiz back! Teams of 4 have the chance to win £60 bar credit at the Tap Yard and on the spot beer and merch prizes. It’s always a really fun evening so get your thinking caps on and come on down. The first quiz of the year is on Wednesday 29th January. Booking is well underway to fill up 2020 with a variety of street food vendors, serving up delights from around the world. Last year we saw everything from Chip Butties to Cantonese Street food and Waffle Cones filled with mac n cheese to Bao buns. It was all incredible and we loved every single one of our vendors. Lucky for us, many will be back this year, with some new ones as well. 

On Saturday we have IT’S A WING THING making a welcome return, with their delicious variety of Chicken Wings. This week, we’ve decided to keep Sunday to ourselves, to serve up our new pizza menu! 

We’re open 12 - 9 on Saturday and 12 - 8 on Sunday, with the Garden Warehouse open for extra heated indoor seating.
