June Newsletter
May has been all about collaborations, the start of our events season, and naturally, super fresh new beer releases. We've got the inside scoop of what's been going on at Siren the past month and what June will have in store for us. Plus, find out why our new Soft Pale Ale, Mesmerist, is so special to us...
Collaborations For Days
How many of our away-collaboration beers did you get to sample this past month? We visited Rye River, Adnams, Verdant, Elusive Brewing and (coming soon) Lakes Brew Co. to bring the cumulative minds of many together. There's a reason that collaboration beers can turn out to be some of the best around! We'll have more collaboration news coming soon, and keep your eyes peeled for Lake's Brew Co. release, which we will also make available on our webshop.

Father's Day is just around the corner now, and if you've not found the perfect gift, we're here to help. Our Father's Day category page hosts a selection of some of the most popular merchandise, gift sets and accessories that will thrill any dad. And if you are one yourself, it may be time to start dropping hints...

Sunglasses, T-Shirts, Dad's Beer Growlers, Bar Runners and Sweatshirts are also featured. And our range of mixed cases will always stand as a classic option for excellent range at a discounted case price.
Events Season Kicks Off
If you’ve enjoyed an event that we’ve poured at recently, you’ll likely have met Brodie, who has been given the new and justly deserved title of Event Coordinator after his first year with us. Brodie has ventured all over the country, and even further afield in Leon and Prague, but always knows where to call home. Reading University saw their ‘Neck of the Woods’ festival at Parkhouse which brought together local brewers, distillers, and adventurous drinkers for a fantastic two days.
At the time of writing, Brodie (and various other Siren staff) will be limbering up our beer stand at Endure24, a 24-hour trail running relay, as the official drinks provider of the run. Our very own JD, who keeps our canning line running smoothly, is taking up the 24-hour challenge on our behalf - solo. JD is aiming to raise money for Alzheimer's Research UK, and any sponsor donation will be matched by Siren.
We recently took up a spot at Kirkstall to pour our beers at The Great Exhibition of Prize Ales alongside over 30 other brewery legends, big and small, up in Leeds. And this weekend, we'll be setting up shop at Bristol Craft Beer Festival, where over 300 beers will be pouring - talk about difficult choices!
George & Dragon New Menu
We're pleased to announce some exciting updates to the menu at our country pub The George & Dragon. With Summer on the horizon, there's a fantastic new set menu featuring top quality and locally sourced ingredients, with our new kitchen team working around the clock to prepare some of the best pub food you'll experience. The set menu has been going down a storm, and we've got an even greater selection of beers and wines available for those warm and hazy summer nights out. Book your table now!
More Staff Anniversaries!
If you’ve been an avid reader of our last few newsletters (and we do hope you have), you’ll have noticed that as part of our 10th Anniversary, we are marking the months that some of our wonderful staff first found home here at Siren.
One year ago, we welcomed Warehouse Manager Louis to the team, whose expertise carried over from Brew By Numbers has been an invaluable addition to our team. Gill, our Finance Manager, joined around the same time last year too, diving straight in to crunch the numbers in what came to be a very busy year for Siren.
Brewer Dave joined us back in 2019 after working at three previous breweries where he had honed his skills, and has likely been responsible for bringing some of your favourite Siren beers to your glass!
And we can’t bring up anniversaries without mentioning Operation Manager Jason’s 50th Birthday, which he celebrated with family, friends, and Siren beer (knowing him, most likely Santo). Happy Birthday Jason!
Streets Wine & Beer Bar
We also recently carried out an installation at Streets, in partnership with Euroboozer, and our beers have found the perfect home down in Margate. Streets carry a great line-up of Siren beers as well as other local breweries.
Passionate about low intervention wine from all around the world, this hidden gem offers over 250 different low intervention wines, so you can return time and time again and always try something new. They have a small plates menu too, inspired by Indian street food.
Events include wine tastings, guest chef takeovers, DJ nights and poetry and music nights. To top it all off, you can also purchase take-home bottles from Streets at your convenience: We couldn’t be prouder to be poured in such a unique independent bar, and hope you'll pay the team a visit soon!
Desi Pubs
Speaking of Indian food, the new book ‘Desi Pubs’ by David Jesudason has landed on our web shop: and we’re lucky enough to have nabbed some signed copies for you to pick up! Desi Pubs: A guide to British-Indian pubs, food and culture explores the pubs run by British-Indian landlords who have stamped their unique identity on a beloved institution and helped to challenge our preconceptions of the pub customer.
Desi Pubs makes the perfect Father’s Day gift, but stands on its own as a brilliant read into an overlooked and under-explored piece of British pub history.
Cacao & Hazelnut: Save over 35%
In case you've missed it, or simply have never tried our glorious Cacao & Hazelnut edition of our award winning Broken Dream stout, there will never be a better offer on the beer than is currently running. Ever since its conception in 2021, our twisted breakfast stout, Cacao & Hazelnut Broken Dream, has made waves all over the country thanks to its indulgent balance of chocolate and speciality malts.
As all good things must come to an end, we're rotating Supermarket stock of our beers, meaning that the current batch of Cacao & Hazelnut Broken Dream will be the last available. We'll never rule out this beer returning (and we certainly hope it will), but for now this is a fond farewell to what has been a fridge staple for many happy drinkers.
Save £36 when you buy a 24-Pack, and save £14 when you buy a 12-Pack. That's up to 37.5% off, if we wanted to get specific. Get yours now!
Release Roundup
Mesmerist - 3.4% Soft Pale Ale
We're excited to share with you the culmination of much work, experimentation and research into brewing beers at this strength. Mesmerist delivers punchy hop aromas and satisfyingly delicious depth of flavour, all the while drinking with a softness and structure. Keep an eye out for this one - we see it having a bright future here at Siren.
Näcken - Hopfenweizen 6.9% Collab with Omnipollo / Casita
A returning favourite between Siren, Omnipollo and Casita, Näcken was originally born out of our first homebrew competition with winner Rick Gordon Lindqvist. Oats and wheat combine for a super creamy body while a traditional hefeweizen yeast strain works its magic. True to the original, Näcken is loaded up with hops, hops and more hops.

Ricochet - West Coast Pilsner 5.7%
A crisp, snappy pilsner inspired by the refreshing lagers being produced in California. It's a beer of two halves, as the hot side starts out in traditional style using all noble hops, where as the cold side breaks the rules with Simcoe, Citra and Nelson Sauvin hops injecting an array of beautiful aromas.

In The Belly Of A Shark - 6.2% Black IPA
As part of our 10th Anniversary celebrations we asked all the Siren team to vote on a beer they'd like to re-brew, and the winner was this banging Black IPA from 2019! It's an onslaught of tropical fruit, citrus and resinous aromas which bely the deep dark pour. Our malts are minimal on the roast notes, but do provide a delicate toasty bassline that allows Citra, Mosaic and Azacca hops to work their magic.

Sneaky Zebras- 6% IPA
An IPA just the way we like it. We're loading up this beer with Mosaic and Strata hops, including new cryogenic Strata CGX™, so expect a saturation of rounded tropical fruits, bright, fresh grapefruit and dank, resinous undertones. We finish with a clean hop bitterness to freshen up the palate, ready for another sip. Sneaky zebras!
Mixed Blessings - 12% Bourbon BA Stout with Lime and Coconut
A sumptuous blend of our finest bourbon barrel-aged stouts, selected to accentuate the playful combination of fresh lime zest and hand-toasted coconut. Expect intense aromas and oily-rich drinking.
Instant Crush - 5.3% Mango & Pink Guava Pale Ale
A perfect beer heading into summer, this pale ale is bursting with Alphonso mango and pink guava for refreshing, juicy drinking. We're complementing the fruit with Amarillo and Eclipse hops, which offer zesty citrus notes, sweet mandarin aromas and crisp, piney bitterness.
