Thanks For A Great Launch

Saturday the 9th of March was a great day for Siren Craft Brew.  It was the culmination of years of dreaming, planning and hard work. To be able to launch across all 4 Craft Beer Co venues was testament to a lot of courage from Martin Hayes and gave us a great platform to show what we can do.On balance each of our beers pretty much hit where we would have expected for batch 1 on a new system, and bar carbonation issues tasted fantastic.  A few process changes mean that we already have a fuller brighter flavour developing in batch 2 for Sound Wave and Undercurrent. Broken Dreams and Undercurrent But this blog is a thank you.  Firstly to all our families that have helped support us to get to this point, all the people who have helped get the brewery up and running, Voyage Design who have worked tirelessly on the marketing side of things, but as importantly the customers who turned up in blind faith over the weekend to try our beers. The day started well with my Dad queuing outside Clerkenwell to be duly served the first glass of Siren, with our local Camra SE Berkshire group not far behind.  The pump clips looked fantastic, even though we didn't have anything for the keg lines - the standard pump clips held up for the day.  It was great to mingle with everyone, listening to feedback and getting input on the beers.  On the whole it seemed there wasn't a clear winner in that for some people Undercurrent was their choice as it is extremely drinkable and full of flavour, Sound Wave had her champions, but Liquid Mistress and Broken Dream seemed to be the two that had most people talking. For me, one of my highlights of the day was standing next to someone at the bar who didn't know I was with the brewery, take his first sip of Liquid Mistress and show to Chris the barman how impressed he was before walking off to enjoy his pint slowly. So after such a great launch now follows the hard work - maintenance of consistency and quality whilst looking to improve the beers any way we can while maintaining their original character.  Obviously we already have many new projects in the pipeline and bottling shouldn't be too far away, so keep your eyes and ears peeled. THANKS!! - looking forward to the ride. Pump Clip
