The Fantastic Four to see out April
After last week’s bumper release of not 1, not 2 but 3 amazing beers, we’re back this week with another 2! Joining Shattered Dream, White Tips and the latest batch of Suspended in Cans is a tweaked rebrew of Much Ado About Muffin and A Tribe Called Zest...
Check the lime.
A Tribe Called Zest
We’re big fans of all things sour beer, with Calypso sitting proudly in our flagship range, Pompelmocello as a seasonal regular. Not forgetting a memorable line up of sours over the years like It’s My Jam, Odyssey 008, Acid Jam, Guava Script and of course Limoncello.
With the sun appearing more in the sky, we decided it was time for a new sour and Sean pitched for Papaya & Lime.
We chose a hop lineup of Mosaic, Azacca and Ekuanot, which together work to push the tropical flavours without compromising on a welcome bitterness. You home cooks or fans of any cooking programme will know that seasoning is the key to releasing flavour. The salt in this Gose aids the mouthfeel, adds a pleasing saline touch and brings out the best of the fruit and hops.
The name is the latest in a series of Hip Hop inspired beers, joining No Biggie, Mind on my Honey and Going Back to Cali. The next in the unofficial series is already in the planning, but you’ll have to wait for that.

Much Ado About Muffin
Here’s a beer that’s improving with each and every batch to really nail that blueberry muffin character!
We’ve always loved the concept, and we think this version is the best yet. The rebrew for cans had a lot more fruit than the first brew, so the blueberry is far more prominent, but we felt that we’d overdone the vanilla a touch. Whilst some people quite enjoyed that, for us it needed to be slightly more subtle.
The result now is a big fruity hit, with a vanilla sweetness and a soft mouthfeel; close your eyes and it's like you’re chewing into a beautiful freshly baked muffin.
Grab one now and let us know what you think of the new brew - look out for gyle 1704, which is printed on the bottom of the cans.
White Tips
Our seasonal White Session IPA is back for its 6th year. Yes, 6 years of celebrating spring with this awesome banger of a beer.
White Tips uses a traditional Belgian yeast with a hefty dosing of hops and then some Lime, Orange and Grapefruit zests to create a unique, but sumptuous brew that you can go back to again and again.
The feeling here amongst staff is that this year’s brew is the best White Tips ever. Get your fridges stocked well, because once you have one, you’ll want a second.
Check out this video we made a couple of year’s back:
White Tips is available now on the webshop.
Shattered Dream
Broken Dream has a special place here at Siren. After our brew of ‘Maiden’, which all went into Barrels, Broken Dream was the 2nd ever brew and the first beer to be brewed for instant general release.
Back in May 2014 to celebrate the 100th brew of Broken Dream, we amped things up and an imperial version, Shattered Dream, was born. Since then, there’s also been Barrel Aged Shattered Dream and Salted Caramel & Chocolate Shattered Dream… both proving popular!
This brew comes in at 9.6%, and with added coffee, vanilla and cacao nibs it’s been likened to Caribbean Chocolate Cake. The fresh chocolate aroma draws you in to a smooth beer with bags of rich flavours.
At the time of writing, it’s been on the webshop for 1 week and already all sold out. However, we also managed to allocate some to go into oak barrels for a future release. Stay tuned for more on that!
We also have a BRIGHT SIDE Box live and available and we're doing a Live Tasting & Drink Along TONIGHT (Friday 1st May) so join us here: sirencraftbrew.com/livetasting
