IWD Brew Day

Yesterday, we celebrated International Women’s Day by mashing in on an exciting IWD beer, lead by brewer Hayley. The beer itself guarantees to be like nothing we’ve done before at Siren: a stout with one pivotal and very special addition - Ruby Chocolate. You can expect to taste the beer for yourself in early April.

Hayley (on the left in the image above) is also the latest gust to feature on the We Are Beer People podcast, and she’s treated listeners to a special two-part episode covering her past life pre-Siren in part one, and her current brewers journey at Siren in part two. You can listen to both episodes now through the link below, or on your streaming platform of choice.

West Coast Pils Blog

We’ve released two beers under the West Coast Pils style this year so far: Out Of Nowhere, our 0.5% low alcohol collaboration with Mash Gang, and more recently Staccato, a 5.8% Pils with a crisp and snappy profile. While this style of beer is not exactly shrouded in mystery, it does tend to be a little misunderstood.

Our content creator, Tim, has come to the rescue here and written a blog post all about the West Coast Pilsner. Check it out through the link below.

Let's Talk About West Coast Pilsner

Snapback: Snap Sale!

One of the best ways to try our West Coast Pilsner style is Snapback, a collaboration with Roosters that we released at the end of last year. For a limited time, we’ve dropped the price on Snapback from £4.20 to £3.50, making it the most affordable way to try a West Coast Pils beer from us. You can pick up Snapback in individual cans and in a 12-pack can case through the link below.

New Beers

In February, we released five new special beers, including our second barrel release of the year. We hope that you’ve had the opportunity to try each of these exciting new releases, but if not, you can find them all online under our beers category page.

The Night Market
6% Export India Porter

We don't get to brew this style very often, but when we do, it's one of the highlights of the year. A historic porter, with hearty dark grains meeting bright, fragrant hops. Enjoy aromas of coffee, chocolate and roastiness interwoven with sweet fruits, citrus and resinous character, all vying for attention yet working deliciously together.

Sunlight Shapes
6.5% Munich Helles-Style Lager with Oak

This special lager is a scaled-up Munich-Style Helles, with pleasing sweetness coming from the traditional grains. Bavarian hops add floral and citrus notes, playing against subtle vanilla and delicate tannins of the oak before a beautifully clean, graceful finish.

Burst Into Song
8.4% 18 Month Barrel Aged Orange Sour

Bold acidity and bright fruit work in concert in this variation on a theme of 2017 release Acid Jam. The spirited call and response of fresh orange zest and rich oak deliver a sweet and sour treat.

Staccato
5.8% West Coast Pils

Continuing our love affair with the West Coast Pils, Staccato is as crisp and snappy as you like. Taking a super clean base, we then dry hop with Citra, Mosaic, El Dorado and Nelson Sauvin, in part inspired by the awesome aroma on our recent low alcohol rendition of the style.

Short Story Long
5% Cali Pale Ale

We're lucky to have been allocated some NZH-101 hops, from the same experimental New Zealand program that developed Nectaron. Expect lime and ripe mandarin up front, with notes of melon and tropical fruits. To showcase in the best way, we've selected a clean, crisp California style pale ale with light haze and present bitterness.
